Children and adolescents are different from adults, but like adults they can experience anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health issues. We use developmentally appropriate approaches to work with children and teens age 5-18. One of the main differences in treating these issues in children and adolescents is that they aren't in control of their own environment -- you are. For this reason, it's critical that parents are an active part of their child or teen's treatment. While you are probably not your child's problem, you are definitely at least part of the solution.
Parenting a child or teen who is struggling is hard. Parents and family members are encouraged to participate in the therapy process to better understand the problem and ensure positive and
